Accountability is a gift. It’s a gift that holds each of us to our best. A gift shared that says, “I know you’re better than this, I know you’re capable of more, and for your best and my best, I’m going to hold you to this.” We all can do better. We all can raise our bar, make better decisions, and be better versions of ourselves. But often we fall below what we’re capable of without someone watching. Why? I guess it’s easy to back out on ourselves, to offer less, to shrink back when left on our own. But there’s magic in telling someone your goals and asking them for the gift of accountability in return. We can all do so much more together.
