Athlete Spotlight – Mallory Fennell

Each month Unbroken Athletic recognizes one athlete in the group that stands out as demonstrating grit, effort, positive attitude and embodies the spirit of Unbroken Athletic. Congratulations to Mallory Fennell for being nominated this month by her coaches here at Unbroken. Check out her story below to see why.

What’s your story?
I am in 7th grade at Olmsted Falls Middle School. I like to hang out with my friends, make bracelets and cook/bake. Also like to babysit 😉

How long have you been training with us?
6 months

Why did you start?
Looked fun and wanted to gain strength.

What was the biggest thing that scared you about this type of training? How did you overcome that?
Snatching is scary! Other than that I just really wanted to start going with my mom and sister.

What has been your proudest achievement so far?
Pull-ups and hand stand pushups!

What result did you gain from training here that you did not expect?

Didn’t expect to gain strength so quickly. Could barely do banded pull ups when started and now I can string together a few kipping pull-ups.

What’s your favorite movement?
Handstand push-ups

What’s your least favorite movement?
Snatch

What are you working towards now?
Bar muscle up

Why do you keep coming back?
It’s really fun!
