What’s your story?
Currently work for Cleveland Clinic as a Director for the family health centers. Have three kids, Logan 15, Avery 13, and Mallory 11 and of course Bernie the dog is 3. Love to travel and can’t wait to get back to traveling more soon!
How long have you been training with us?
Since opening day!
Why did you start?
Ran a marathon and numerous half marathons and was just bored of running. One of my running buddies started CrossFit and I did a class with her to try it out and was hooked.
What was the biggest thing that scared you about this type of training? How did you overcome that?
Walking in the door at my previous gym was nerve racking but really needed a change. Weightlifting was scary because I have never done Olympic lifting and had no clue what I was doing..
What has been your proudest achievement so far?
Consistency and having my girls want to workout with me!
What result did you gain from training here that you did not expect?
Muscle tone and coordination!
What's your favorite movement?
Cleans and pistols. Cleans because when I first started I hated them!
What's your least favorite movement?
Snatch because I am terrible!
What are you working towards now?
Improving my strength post surgery and modifications. Need to slowly build back. And bar muscle up, got one in a competition.
Why do you keep coming back?
Love the CrossFit community and the culture at unbroken. I love working out!
