The myth that kids will stunt their growth if they lift weights too young is not supported by any scientific evidence or research. However, injury can occur as a result from poor form, weights that are too heavy, and a lack of supervision. But it’s not the result of lifting weights correctly.

Injury rates are the same if not higher from kids playing traditional sports. By incorporating a controlled weight lifting program kids are less likely to have injuries associated with muscular imbalances and lack of physical strength. A well rounded CrossFit program is a great addition for kids to develop skills and strength necessary to participate in any sport.
