Spirit of the OPEN 20.4: Brittany Berelsman

Friday, November 8, 2019 - 16:43

Each year at the CrossFit Games, they honor someone with the Spirit of the Games award. This honor goes to the ‘athlete who embodies the spirit of the sport.’ Each week during Saturday Morning Showdown, Unbroken Athletic will recognize a member it feels represented the Spirit of the Games. This week’s honor goes to …. Brittany Berelsman. While we all know Brittany for her lightning speed, she absolutely crushed it with the heavy weights in 20.4. Heading into the workout her goal was to get one of the clean and jerks at 85lbs, she was able to get all 15 and then had time to get back to the barbell and attempt 115lbs multiple times. She finished with an RX score of 120! Brittany has been training at Unbroken for a year and a half and has made incredible progress in her fitness. Her and her husband, Brad, welcomed their son Wyatt to their family earlier this year. As a new Mom, Brittany has continued to push herself and stay committed to her goals. It's inspiring to us all.

“Brittany was participating in the fun little lift off essentially, where Kyle would go, Hollie would go, Brittany would go. That was fun lol” Unbroken coach AJ Macey said.

"She also never gave up, even though she felt she couldn’t clean the barbell, she kept trying and kept a positive attitude!" Unbroken coach Vince Milner said.

Congratulations Brittany! Way to be STRONG and FAST! Thank you for pushing us to be better. We are blessed to have you as part of the tribe.
