Have goals, push yourself, do better but don’t think that the times on the board and the weights on the bar define you. Your worth has nothing to do with how fast you can complete 21-15-9 thrusters and pull-ups, where you finished in the Crossfit open or how much weight you can load on the bar and squat. No friend, you are so much more than that. You were created as a unique individual with a specific mission that only you can fulfill here on this earth. Need proof? Check out your thumbprint…see that? Nobody that has ever lived or will ever live in the future shares that unique print with you. That should be eye opening and perspective shifting for you. YOU are special regardless of how you perform in the gym.

This whole CrossFit thing is about the journey. It’s about who you become in the pursuit of the things you want. It’s about building confidence in yourself, building character, learning that you can do hard things, and that you can change and grow. Stop worrying so much about where you finish in the workout and start focusing on how you show up in the moments. Let go of the results. Enjoy the process. In the end, it’s not what you get that makes you happy, it’s who you become and who you positively impact along the way.
